At the time I was born I looked a little different than in the picture
you saw before. My color was "Dunkel Tabak Braun" (Mercedes-Benz
Color #423). One of those
conservative ugly colors of these days. Nice to have were all these options that Mr.
Morris ordered with me. Oh, I forgot to mention how my former owner and I have the same
name! Well, it's the tradition in the German vintage car
scene that the car gets the
first name of its first owner. But unfortunately I forgot his given-name and this
information got lost. That's why I'm the exception to this tradition and have his
last-name.![]() But back to my options: I had a set of MERCEDES-BENZ suitcases and a factory parts-kit. My first owner ordered me with a TELEFUNKEN radio, a front bench, windshield-washers and heating-fans. Not all of my sisters had these options, and we are a big family ! This picture shows one of my brothers, his name is 220a, too. He was very proud to be in this commercial. It gives a very good idea of how I looked in my first years. But as time went by, I lost some of my neat accessories, extras, and even standard items. By know Mark, my new owner, has recovered them for me. |
