Gettin' back on the

        road

After nearly three years of work the day of proof was near. But everyone who knows Germany well, knows this unfriendly, stupid and unnecessary institution called TÜV. I was very lucky though, they gave me instant approval to go back to road-duty. They didn't even complain about my wrong gauges! But they lost some words about the rear license-plate light, I have no clue what they were talking about. More trouble did I experience with the registration at the county office. Those guys didn't want me, I guess. It took my owner 4 attempts to get a registration. He had to submit:
1. My American title.
2. The bill of sale from the last owner noted in the title
3. The customs declaration
4. A certificate from the federal institution of "motor-stuff" (Flensburg) that I wasn't reported stolen.
5. Proof from MERCEDES-BENZ that no German title had been issued before.
6. Proof of insurance and the TUV certificate that I am no hazard to others and that I really am what I seem to be.
This is even more difficult if those "Beamte" are working against you: Mark had to come back twice just because the found something new that he had to submit which was never mentioned before. Ever since I hear him talking about dissolving those guy's jobs! But anyway, finally I got back on the road where I belong. And I already thought that would never happen again!

Look at that baking-tin I got for a license plate!
